Visit to Belaku Vriddhashrama

Belaku Vriddhashrama is a Registered Old Age Home located in Jayanagar,9th Block Bangalore.

Our members visited the  Vriddhashrama on 11th September 2017. The team could only meet 4 of them, 2 members had gone for medical tests etc. and 1 inmate of 101yr old has recently expired. The inmates looked healthy and happy as the rented house provided to them seemed hygienic and in presentable condition. The manager, 
Mr. Ramakrishna informed us that a Doctor visits them every Monday and volunteers keep them entertained through bhajans, Geeta and Ramayan Path in the evenings. He also informed that the inmates would soon be shifted to a proper Ashrama (few lanes away)once the construction gets over on a donated land.
This Ashrama has another paid Old Age Home facility and an orphanage where 20 children (boys and girls) are presently staying.

The Bengalee Association presented them with a Table- top Wet Grinding machine,(as per their request) Milk Packets, Rice, Dal, Biscuits and other Refreshments as a part of our Social Cause Initiative
